Cooking 101

A really big THANKS to Derek Nobel for teaching this wonderful class for us. We once again had a great turn out, thanks to all the sisters who attended. Some of the topics we learned were proper knife use, choosing a knife, chopping, dicing, cutting a whole chicken, sauteing, how to tell if your meat is done, pan searing, oven roasting and much more. Best of all...there was lots of taste testing!

When chopping onions, if all else fails...bite a wooden spoon!

If you'd like to learn to saute, just add beans to your pan and practice. Have a broom handy to clean up the mess!

Yummy stir fry.

Fun with Wheat!

I hope you didn't miss this class! It was so much fun and totally hands on. We made saltine crackers, graham crackers, bread and blender pancakes...and then we ate them!!! Oh and we can't forget Sister Nobles wheat berry salad, it was divine! Cassi Krotzer did an outstanding job putting this all together and teaching us that cooking with wheat can be fun and delicious. Thanks to everyone who attended and made this a huge success.

Money Matters

Thanks to Nancy and Bishop Ardmore for opening their home and offering this great budgeting class.

Pie Social February 2010

Yummy, I must admit this has been one of my favorite, the best pies ever. Thanks to those who made pies and those who came to eat them. And to our own Betty Crocker who showed us how to make pie crust.
